Now everyone can record an own version of their favourite “Mumiy Trolls” song together with Ilya Lagutenko

New project is based on the bands official site and works by the principle of an Internet-karaoke. It is only enough to click the project page, to select the necessary song, to switch on yours PC camera and finaly to sing together with Ilya Lagutenko. Then the user receives a personal clip and can dispose of it over network as he wish, challenging, by the way, his friends.

Legal piracy copies are not a new single release. It is a social statement, establishing the fact that in the modern musical industry world by the social networks development any framework and borders between band and audience are erasing. What means, it is time to live by the new rules.

Attention! The project isn’t available to operation from pads, mobile devices and Safari.

The LP was penned during the band’s global voyage upon the Russian sailing ship Sedov. It was then recorded in Los Angeles and Moscow––not to mention a range of locations in China, Japan, and South Africa.

The nine English tracks were guided by an international team of musicians and producers, recruited by frontman Ilya Lagutenko around the world. They include Keith Ciancia, T-Bone Burnett’s prime collaborator on the Coen Brothers’ feature ’The Ladykillers’ and the HBO series ’True Detective.’ Also on board is the Vladivostok keyboard wizard DZA, found by chance in a Hong Kong café.

The US dates begin March 2 in Chicago, kickstarting a series of concerts in eight cities. Mumiy Troll will be showcasing two albums: the English ‘Malibu Alibi’ and the Russian ‘Pirate Copies.’ The band recently completed a successful tour around sixteen European cities in Fall 2015. The two new albums were presented in England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Baltic nations.

The US March tour will end in Texas at South by Southwest, where Mumiy Troll will unveil a showcase for the Vladivostok festival V-ROX (http://www.vrox.org)
